Welcome!
Mat-Su Birders is a local wild bird club in the beautiful Matanuska-Susitna Valleys in Alaska
Mat-Su Birders formed in January 1999. Members are folks from all walks of life, all age groups, all levels of bird knowledge and birding experience from beginner to expert, oldtimers and newcomers to the area. Everyone is welcome!
We meet September through May on 2nd Wednesdays, at 7 pm at the Palmer Public Library.
Become a member of your local wild bird club. Contact club Treasurer, Charlotte Sartor for information. Dues are $10 a year.
We always want suggestions for meeting programs. Programs should be (mostly) about wild birds of the world, bird research, birding, keeping a bird journal, landscaping for birds, feeding bird, (trips, photography, etc). If you can give a 45-60 minute program or know someone who may be able to, contact Program Director Paul Fritz.
